Residents are being asked for their views on a proposed housing development on the edge of Tranent, with a public exhibition scheduled for next week.
The plans, submitted by Persimmon Homes, outline a mix of more than 170 new houses, car parking, and infrastructure on an agricultural field off Lammermoor Terrace. Initial proposals were first revealed in 2022.
A public exhibition will be held at The Fraser Centre on Thursday, August 13, where representatives from Persimmon Homes will be available to discuss the proposals. Details will also be available online from the same date.
Feedback can be submitted via a response form at the event or online, by letter to LarnerMcGrath, 3 Walker Street, Edinburgh, EH3 7JY, by email to joe@larnermcgrath.co.uk, or by phone at 07776 031673. The deadline for comments is August 23.
A second event will explain how public feedback will be considered, with details to follow after the response window closes. Comments should be directed to the applicants, not East Lothian Council, at this stage.
